Father Kevin Lowry

Our Priest, Father Kevin Lowry sadly passed away on Sunday 1st October.  Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

He was originally from Carlisle and ordained Priest in 1976 and was a member of the Augustinian Order until he came to Lancaster Diocese in 1999. As an Augustinian, he ministered in parishes in London, Birmingham and Edinburgh and spent eight years as a missionary in Korea.

In his time in the Lancaster Diocese he has served Preston, Millom, Whitehaven and Lancaster Cathedral.  Father Kevin came to the Fylde in May 2014 and also served Holy Family, Freckleton.

A Deanery Mass for Father Kevin will be celebrated at Holy Family, Freckleton on Tuesday 17th October 2017 at 7.00pm. Father Kevin’s Requiem Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Michael at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 16 Woodlands Road, Ansdell, FY8 4EP at 11.30am on the 18th October.
